Our Care
Good communication is important at Limetree and we gather as much knowledge about our residents as possible. This information includes details of medical and care needs with family and friends encouraged to help build a Care Plan to assist the transition into the home. The plan will be reviewed and revised every three months and will outline how our staff ensure the residents receive the best possible care. At all times we respect the privacy and dignity of each individual resident, maintaining their right to choice and independence. Residents are also registered with a doctor of their choice within the local area and arrangements can be made for private consultations should that be necessary.
Accommodation
Limetree provides full board accommodation including laundry, 24 hour care, daily newspapers and a choice of menu at meal times. Each resident has their own room and staff encourage the addition of photographs and small personal items to help customise the rooms. The rooms are homely and well maintained with regular decoration ensuring clean, comfortable living conditions. Access to washing facilities, bath or shower is always available and local hairdressers visit once per month. Limetree has two lounge areas as well as a dining room where residents can read, watch TV or chat with staff and fellow residents. An outside garden area completes the facilities for our residents to enjoy.
Meals
Limetree has an excellent reputation for the range of food served to the residents, with menus changed regularly and produce sourced from the best available local suppliers. Resident’s preferences are always considered and dietary needs recorded for each individual, built into their Care Plan ensuring allergies or special food requirements are understood by all staff. The kitchen and preparation areas are regularly inspected by the statutory bodies and we maintain the highest standards of preparation and food hygiene.
Activities
In keeping with the homely atmosphere at Limetree, we organise and encourage a range of activities for our residents to enjoy. These events are intended to stimulate and create a community atmosphere within the home with staff encouraging interaction between residents. Activities such as sing songs, art, hair and beauty, reminiscing, gardening, walks to parks and shopping trips have been undertaken as well as visits from local entertainers. Visiting school and church choirs also come to Limetree on a regular basis.
Consultation
Residents, family members and staff are always encouraged to make suggestions that will improve our care at Limetree. As outlined in our user guide, family members can ask for assistance from staff at any time and we encourage any ideas or suggestions that would be of benefit to our residents.
