Meals

Limetree has built up an enviable  reputation for the quality of the food served to its residents. All

meals are freshly prepared daily and are healthy and nutritious.

We aim to source our produce locally as much as possible. Our meat is supplied by local butcher

Corries Meats,  our fruit and veg from Horners Farm Shop in Comber and our eggs come from

Clements Eggs in Carrowdore.

Residents likes and dislikes are always considered, vegetables are seasonal.  Provision is made for

special diets, including low-fat and diabetic requirements.  Health and hygiene is monitored by

Environmental Health and the inspector from Regulation and Quality Improvement. Residents are

assured of an excellent standard of hygiene and good wholesome food.

Breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper are served in the dining room.  Mid morning and afternoon

tea is served in the living room and bedrooms depending on where the resident is.

Our menus are compiled on a 4 week rota basis and endeavour to provide a varied and

stimulating choice for our residents. Please see below 2 sample menus.
