Facilities & Services

Limetree is a Residential Care Home owned privately by Mrs Sandra Nixon and may be where

appropriately managed by Mrs Sandra Nixon and registered under Article 8 (1) of the HPSS (Quality

and Improvement and Regulation) Northern Ireland) Order 2003.

We provide full board accommodation, heating, laundry, a staff call system in each room, daily

newspapers, care staff who provide 24 hour care and a choice of menu at mealtimes.

 A resident's care plan is drawn up within six weeks of arrival.  it will be changed according to the

changing needs of the resident.  This care plan will be reviewed every three months and will outline

the needs of each resident and how we intend to meet each need.  Limetree aims to provide a secure

and stable environment where individuality of care and respecting privacy and dignity are

paramount.  Each resident has the right to choice and independence and their dignity will be

respected at all times.  All residents are registered with a General Practitioner of their choice within

the area.  Arrangements can be made for private consultations.

 Activities

Five times a week we will organise some form of activity.  All residents are asked to join in and a note

is kept of what we do each week.  In the summer months we have outings to local fish and chip

shops, out for coffee and the ice cream parlour.  On a daily basis we will interact with the residents,

reminiscing, painting nails, doing their hair and having sing songs.  Some activities provided in

Limetree include the following ; Jigsaw puzzles, magnetic darts, hair and beauty, mobile library, sing

songs, plant potting, hand and foot massages, walks to local parks, entertainers and shopping trips.

We also have Easter Celebrations, Halloween Special Dinner, a Christmas Party, Carol Services and

Grand National Day amongst other things.

Consultation with Residents & their Families

Residents, family members and staff are encouraged to make suggestions about the operation of the

residential home at any time. It is noted on Limetree's service user guide that residents, family

members or staff can approach management at any time with a query or suggestion. Residents,

family and staff are also given the opportunity to discuss and make suggestions with our inspecting

officer when he visits twice a year and we also have three monthly staff meetings.
